ecoMode

ecoMode is a mode of operation that allows for a more efficient processing of workload.
Definition
A machine is running in ecoMode, wenn all energy it does consume it produced by DTZ owner systems.
Criteria for Running in ecoMode
- energy is produced internally (on privately owned hardware), mainly through solar panels
- energy is stored in batteries, for later consumption
- energy is directly consumed by nodes
- energy from the batteries can also be consumed by the nodes
Operational Aspects
- EcoMode can be enforced on Jobs (asynchronous workload)
- EcoMode cannot be set on Services (synchronous workload)
- DTZ always tries to run Job in ecoMode and falls back to normal Node if no node is available
